Ask Your Clients for Testimonials on Video
To create the perfect customer testimonial, you need to ask the questions that people want answers to.
In my latest YouTube video, I share about the first 3 videos small business should start making and one of the video is testimonial video.
A Video Testimonial has the power of showing the transformation you brought in your customer’s life with your services or products. It is one of the best ways to tell your potential customers that “You Rock!”
A recent Wyzowl survey found that 9 out of 10 people trust what a customer says about a business more than what the business says about itself.
However, asking for video testimonials come with its own challenges. Many business owners hesitate to ask clients for a testimonial, especially a video one.
In today’s issue, I’ve come up with a list of 3 main questions to ask for the perfect customer testimonial.
Top Tip: It’s important to note that it’s best to send your customers these questions in advance.
#1 What problem(s) did you face before working with us/using our product or service?
This is a great question because when viewers hear that other companies had the same pain points as them, they’ll start to pay more attention. In other words, you’ve got them hooked!
#2 What made our product/service/company a good fit for you?
Give your customers to talk about their favourite features of your product, service or company.
It’s also a great way to attract new customers as 2 out of 3 people say they’d be more likely to make a purchase after watching a testimonial video.
#3 What results did you achieve by using our product or service?
The answer to this will really be the clincher for most viewers.
It’s great to hear about how you solved the problems of your customer, and about the benefits of your product or service, but all anyone really cares about is results.
There are other questions you can ask for a testimonial video but these 3 main questions are able to boost your credibility.
Top Tip: Don’t ask people to repeat information that is in your product or on your website, or how superior your product is to others on the market. That will sound forced. In fact, I would recommend abandoning a script to let your video be as genuine and natural as possible. Remember, you’re trying to build trust in your company.
Final Thoughts
By asking your best customers to review your products, service, or company in a video testimonial, you create a form of social proof that potential customers are actually looking for.
Don’t stop making videos even if you don’t see results for the first few months. Give it time. Let it run for some time.
⠀
It will work for sure.

Get cracking now.
