🌈 This week’s highlight:
How many of you are struggling with video marketing? 🤔
It looks easy.
You:
Get on camera
Talk about a topic
Publish it on social media
But..
It doesn’t get the traction you were expecting nor does it rank in Google like you hoped.
I was having a conversation with a friend the other day about his video marketing efforts for his business. He told me he was not getting engagement from his audience whenever he uploaded his videos.
He read stats like how 92% of marketers say that video is an important part of their marketing strategy and are getting good results with video.
Or, how 85% of Internet users watch online videos.
He know its value..
..he’s just struggling to make it work.
And then I wondered, how many more solopreneurs out there are also struggling with video marketing?
So in this week’s newsletter, let me help you fix the first and one of the most important stages of the video production process in video marketing.
The Video Pre Production Checklist
Just like a rock star performer about to go on stage, the preparation is an important element. In developing a video content, a video pre-production checklist sets the stage for the great content you’ll be creating.Â
This checklist covers three items:
✅ Topic
✅ Structure
✅ Intent
You could easily setup and start shooting video with a general idea.
And it may get some views.
But, video marketing means it needs a purpose.
That purpose could be any (or all) of the following:
Generate leads and sales
Increase brand awareness
Gather feedback and suggestions
Boost organic and social traffic
Ideally, you’d get the mix of them but one is good enough per video.
Which purpose are you focusing on right now for your business?
I will dive deeper into the three checklist items. Stick around and do share this newsletter link with your friends and contacts. After all, sharing is caring!
Schedule a chat with me if you need to know more about video pre-production and I will be happy to share.
